Business storage, right off the motorway

The first orders get packed in the living room; a hundred orders later the stock has taken the hallway too. A container is the next step before a real warehouse: stock on shelves, packaging in one place, and each morning you take only what ships that day.

A small web shop usually manages with the small 3 m container. Keep goods that must not get warm or damp, like cosmetics, candles or electronics, in closed boxes and off the floor, because the container is not climate controlled.

Tools you do not need every day, leftover materials from the last job, scaffolding waiting for the next site. At home they are in the way; in the van they get damaged and stolen. In the container they stay locked up, on the way to sites in Zemun, New Belgrade and Surčin.

One rule: thinners, solvent-based paints, gas bottles and fuel are not allowed in the container. Anything else that is yours and legal is fine.

PA systems, lighting, stands, marquees and party chairs work weekends and nights. That is why 24/7 access matters more here than anywhere: you bring the gear back when the event ends, not when a warehouse opens.

Stack the flight cases along the walls in loading order, and keep whatever goes to every job closest to the door.

Accounting records have to be kept for years, and office space is too expensive for binders nobody opens. A container solves that for the price of one monthly bill.

Paper does not like damp: put boxes on pallets or shelves, not straight on the floor, and leave a gap from the walls so air can move. Write the year and contents on every box, so you never open ten to find one invoice.
