Will your car fit? Check three measurements

A car fits in the medium 6 m container. Before you set off, grab a tape measure and check yours, because not every car gets through the doors.

Measure before you drive over

Widthup to 2.34 m
Measure with the mirrors folded. Most cars are 1.75–1.90 m wide, so they get through, but it is tight inside: a 1.85 m car leaves about 50 cm in total. Park closer to the passenger side so the driver can get out.
Heightup to 2.28 m
Including roof bars, a roof box or an aerial. Ordinary cars and SUVs clear it easily; high-roof vans do not.
Lengthup to 5.90 m
A 4.50 m car leaves about 1.40 m behind it, enough to close the doors and fit a set of tyres or a few boxes.

The container floor sits a little above the ground, so motorbikes and lower cars usually need a ramp. Send us the model and measurements before your first visit and we will work out how to get your vehicle in.

Winter motorbike storage

Over winter a motorbike can sit in the yard under a tarp, in a block’s basement where the neighbours grumble, or in an expensive garage in town. Or in a locked steel container by the motorway, waiting for the first sunny weekend.

The small 3 m container is 2.80 m long inside. A motorbike or scooter fits with your helmet, jacket and tools, and packed tight, up to 3 bikes.

Got a friend who rides? Share the container and each pays half: €25 + VAT a month per bike.

When the first warm day comes, you are not waiting for office hours. Access is 24/7, so you can take the bike out at seven on a Saturday morning.

Tyres and parts

Stack tyres on rims or hang them. Keep tyres without rims upright and turn them every couple of months so they do not flat-spot. Wash and dry them first, and only bag them when they are completely dry. Just a set or two of your own? See tyre and seasonal storage.

Run a garage, a tyre shop or sell parts? For stock of tyres and parts, see business storage.

Your car while you’re abroad

Working abroad and leaving the car here? Or flying out for a long stretch and do not want the car standing in the street for months, or in an airport car park that charges by the day? The lot is about 5 minutes’ drive from Nikola Tesla Airport. Drive the car over, lock the container, and get a lift or a taxi to the terminal.

When you get back, the car is where you left it, behind your padlock, not out on the street under a layer of dust and leaves.

The lot is in Radiofar near Surčin, about 12 minutes from Zemun and 20 from Batajnica. Getting to the lot in Radiofar · Prices for every container.

Before you fly

  • Clean the inside and leave no food behind; it attracts mice.
  • Do not leave the handbrake on for months, the pads can stick. Leave it in gear or in P and chock a wheel.
  • Disconnect the battery, or leave it with someone on a tender.
  • Pump the tyres a little above the recommended pressure so they do not flat-spot.
  • If you use your own padlock, leave a spare key with someone you trust in Serbia. We do not hold a key to your padlock.

The essentials

  • Access 24/7

  • Only you hold the key

Can I store a motorbike or a car?

A motorbike or scooter fits in the small container (2.8 m long inside), and a car in the 6 m medium one (5.9 m long). Call us before you bring a vehicle so we can agree the terms, and disconnect the battery if it will stand for a while.

Can I store a trailer?

Yes, if it clears the door opening, about 2.34 m wide and 2.28 m high. Send us its measurements before you come.

How do I check whether my car gets through the doors?

The door opening is about 2.34 m wide and 2.28 m high, and inside it is 2.35 m wide and 5.90 m long. Measure the car’s width with the mirrors folded and its height with any roof bars. Send us the measurements and the model and we will check before you set off.

Do I need a ramp?

The container floor sits a little above the ground, so motorbikes and lower cars usually need a ramp. Get in touch before your first visit so we can agree how to get the vehicle in.

Can I leave fuel in the tank?

Do not bring jerry cans or spare fuel into the container. How much fuel may stay in the vehicle’s tank is agreed when we sign the contract.

Is there power for a battery tender?

Ask us about your container. For winter storage it is best to take the battery out anyway and keep it at home, somewhere warm, on a tender.

Park it, lock it, come back in spring.

Call and you’ll know straight away which size is free and what it costs. If it’s easier, message us on Viber or WhatsApp.
