- Beds and wardrobes
- Take them apart. Put the screws and fittings in a bag and tape it to the biggest piece so nothing goes missing.
- Mattresses
- Upright, on their side, in a cloth or breathable cover. Never flat on the floor.
- Sofa and armchairs
- Cover with a sheet or blanket. Take the plastic off once you arrive so the fabric can breathe.
- Fridge and freezer
- Defrost the day before, dry it and leave the door ajar so it doesn’t go mouldy or smell.
- Washing machine
- Drain the hose and filter. If you still have the transit bolts, put them back before moving it.
- Glass and mirrors
- Wrap in a blanket or cardboard and stand them upright, like books on a shelf, never flat.
- Table and chairs
- Remove the legs if they come off. Chairs go upside down on the table to save floor space.
- Boxes
- Same size, heavy ones at the bottom, room and number written on two sides.
